Carleen Dunn
Programming Coordinator
Programming Coordinator Carleen Graves Dunn comes to Cox 4 with two decades' experience as a television producer and director. During her stint at PBS powerhouse WYES-TV, Carleen directed popular local programs such as Steppin' Out and Informed Sources, and produced nationally acclaimed specials like Teaching That Works, Community Kids, and Be There for Your Baby, a show seen in over 120 markets. She was the overall producer for WYES-TV's Showboat Auction and Art Collection 12 fundraising telecasts. In addition to program-length productions, Carleen created countless underwriter spot announcements and short video profiles of local artists.
For her work, Carleen received a national Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, a National Commendation from American Women in Radio and Television, and an Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America. She has also been honored with the Press Club of New Orleans' Award of Excellence and a Bronze Quill Award presented by the International Association of Business Communicators.
Carleen Dunn is a former Board Member of both the New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater New Orleans Chapter. She was a 2002 participant in the Committee for a Better New Orleans/Metropolitan Area Committee's MAC Leadership Forum.
A lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, Carleen is a graduate of Grace King High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Loyola University. Joining the Cox team represents something of a "full circle" for Carleen; she began her broadcasting career as a master control operator under an internship made possible by Cox.
