Marlo Lacen
Master Control Operator
Native New Orleanian Marlo Lacen first joined the Cox 4 team as a freelancer, then parlayed her passion for television into a full-time post in May 2008 when she became the channel's Master Control Operator.
The multi-talented Marlo honed her production skills while completing a degree in Performance and Media Arts at Delgado Community College. While in school, she acted as freelance producer and videographer for several local projects including segments for The Big Easy Awards. She also served as technical director for Delgado's special fund-raising production of Floodgate, penned by famed scriptwriter Larry Gelbart.
Before coming to Cox, Marlo lived briefly in New York where she served as assistant production coordinator for the BETJ series My Two Cents. Upon her return to the Crescent City, she began working on a variety of productions both in-studio and on location. As a contributing producer/editor/videographer for Cox 4's acclaimed documentary series Louisiana Verite, Marlo worked on segments that helped garner the show a coveted Suncoast Emmy Award and a Bronze Telly.
In addition to overseeing master control operations, Marlo continues to be involved with Cox 4's specials including the National World War II Museum's High School Quiz Bowl, Lundi Gras Live!, and Comedy Boil.
When she's not sharpening her skills as a videographer, and writer, or watching documentaries, Marlo enjoys attending football and basketball games, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two children.
