Now entering its eighth year in Baton Rouge, its fourth in Acadiana, and its first year in New Orleans, the Cox4 Game of the Week is Louisiana’s home to live, Friday night high school football games focused on regional private and public schools. The weekly games showcase the region’s best athletic talent, while also drawing attention to each school’s academic and extracurricular successes.

“We are committed to delivering the best high football coverage in the state, but it is more than that to us,” said Jimmy Frederick, executive producer, Cox4 Game of the Week. “Our goal is to showcase the school community and the positive things the students, teachers and administrators are doing.”

The Cox4 Game of the Week will be live in both the Baton Rouge and Acadiana markets, as well as the New Orleans market, with a 6:30 p.m. Pre-game Show, followed by a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The games will replay in Baton Rouge and Acadiana Fridays at 10:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.; and Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. And in New Orleans Saturday 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m Each game will be viewed live only in its local market, however, all games be available in all markets to digital cable customers through On DEMAND.

“We’ll have 45 games from Jamboree to Playoffs featuring the best prep programs in the south Louisiana region and some great inter-market rivalries,” said Rod Mickler, vice president of Regional Sports and Local Programming. “This is another example of Cox’s investment in showcasing the talents and traditions of our local markets.
